Each year it seems we are asked to do something different and fun
by the folks who charter the vessel. Let's see, we've done scads of
family reunions. This year alone-the Drew's, the Flynn's, the Young's,
Schroder-Wok and the Files (Kip's Folks and friends); We had half a
dozen weddings aboard the last two seasons (Hollywood showed us one
great Love Story on the movie Titanic-we've had dozens of marriages
resulting from cruises or working on the Chimes!!) ; We had the production
crew for Stephen King's movie "Thinner" on to relax the day before
they began shooting; had one of our personal favorites, the spreading
of ashes by a family and a Yacht Club that found everyone in the crew
saying "That's the way I want to go." We do annual sail training cruises
for students of the Sound School; Annual Marine Biology Cruises with
our always interesting and knowledgeable Skip Wood, Headmaster of Baylor
Prep in Chattanooga; we've done feminist work shops, Corporate retreats
and Mini-Military reunion's including one scheduled for next season
of Paul's Uncle's WWII 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion. In short
we can customize a Charter for just about anyone. And, we can supply
what ever you need from a Marine Biologist to guest speakers. In a
recent AARP magazine article on Family closeness, a suggestion was
made to "Give memories, not things as gifts" like a cruise on the Chimes.
Their line of reasoning was "consider what you spend for birthdays,
Christmas, anniversaries, etc." They just might have a point. Lets
check! Quick what did you get as a birthday present last year? Times
up- but I bet you recall your cruise aboard the Chimes quicker and
for a lot longer! So next time you're looking for something totally
unique to do for a family, a group, special friends, or an office,
call us and let's see what we can come up with!
