Join renowned maritime artist, Richard C. Moore for four days aboard the National Historic Landmark schooner, Victory Chimes for a unique artistic endeavor.
Moore will provide instruction to artists at all skill levels who find the subject of the sea and traditional sailing vessels irresistible. This is a once in a lifetime chance to experience your subject matter in its natural working environment, like few artists have.
RICHARD C. MOORE has specialized in marine painting for many years. He is an artist member of the American Society of Marine Artists, and a past president of that society. His web site is www.ship-paintings.com.
Moore recently did all of the mural paintings for the Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago for their exhibit of the German submarine U-505.
On this week's cruise, Dick Moore will provide basic instruction on sketching and small watercolor painting for beginners interested in marine painting. More advanced students will also find this "workshop" helpful. You will get the opportunity to also paint ashore, from some exquisite pine and granite profiled vantage points. That is where Moore intends to do a demonstration of watercolor sketching.
The emphasis of this unique cruise will be on the joy of fellowship and sharing of marine art with kindred spirits.
